KARNAK TEMPLE COMPLEX
 

The largest area encompassed by a temenos is sacred to Amen-Re, with his temple just left of center. To the left is a temple to Montu, god of war, in its sacred precinct. At the far right is the sacred area of Mut, consort of Amen.

"O ye people who shall see this monument in after years and who shall speak of that which I have made, beware lest you say ' I know not why it was done', I did it because I wished to make them as a gift for my father, Amun, and to gild them with electrum".
